Smoked glass lamps
In 2021 you’ll see a lot of smoked glass lamps in different shapes and forms. Smoked glass is, as you can guess from the name, less bright and translucent than normal glass. This type of glass was already used in tabletops for coffee tables for some time, but it’s used a lot in lamps now to creating a warm light.
We’re going to see a lot of natural materials in lighting. This can be glass-like we mentioned above, but also bamboo, paper and willow. Lampshades in natural materials like willow in either wood colour or black will give your interior an instant exotic look. These lamps are also easy to combine with other elements and colours in your interior. Matt glass pendant lamps on the other hand fit perfectly in a retro interior and are a great solution if you have a smaller living room. It will create an optical illusion of making your room seem bigger than it is!
The industrial style remains popular
The industrial style has been popular for a few years now. We can see that over the years it’s changing a bit in terms of features, shapes, colours and materials. Next to the big metal lampshades that we’ve seen for a few years now, there is a more minimalistic industrial lamp in 2021 combining metal, wood and just a light bulb.
